NZ v. Oz
Australia have recorded 35 wins, New Zealand 10, with 8 games drawn. Australia have scored 95 goals, and New Zealand 43.

Australia have won 30 of the last 33 clashes between the two countries, with New Zealand earning their first result against Australia in eighteen years when drawing 1-1 on 24 June 2012, repeating that scoreline in Canberra nearly twelve months later. It was 1-1 again when the teams met in Melbourne on June 7 2016, a game the Football Ferns deserved to win, while on 8 April 2022, the Matildas struck twice in stoppage time to deny their arch-rivals their first win in this battle since 1994.

While the first clash between the countries in 1975 is regarded as a full international by New Zealand, the Australians do not consider it as such, as their representatives at the Asian Cup were a New South Wales side.

Also, New Zealand awarded caps for the two matches in February 2007, unlike the Australians. And on 31 May 2015, in Vancouver ahead of the FIFA Women's World Cup Finals, a non-cap-earning fixture between the teams resulted in a 3-3 draw.
