"San Tongariro" and "San Rakaia" in port on 27 September. They departed on 1 October for the fishing grounds off Northland's west coast. Their presence heralds the start of the summer fishing season.

The first of the albacore fleet to visit Onehunga this summer - "Brid Voyager" and "Western Leader" alongside at Onehunga on the evening of 3 December.
