A former tuna vessel which was used as a supply ship during United Geophysics' seismic surveys of the New Zealand coastline during 1967, a project undertaken and funded by Esso Petroleum.

Came to Onehunga from Australia - a day out from departing there, her radio packed in. Cue a trans-tasman crossing in radio silence, and the comical sight, upon arriving off the Manukau Heads, of three crewmen heading to shore then scaling the signal station cliffs in order to get directions for entering the harbour!
