A number of onlookers watch a consignment of butter being loaded aboard a ship at Onehunga in 1905 for Wellington, and ultimately transhipment to London. The first butter shipments from NZ were sourced from Ambury Farm in Mangere.

This is the buoy to which the ships are tethered while loading their cargoes of slurry at Kawhia's Taharoa Ironsand Works at Kawhia. The buoy was delivered to Onehunga in 1972 for towing down the coast to its final resting place.
